Csaba Dömötör: These are the topics of the national consultation on reopening
EnglishQuestions of the public survey concerning lifting coronavirus restrictions were revealed by the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Cabinet Office of the Prime Minister on Facebook on Wednesday. The national consultation is expected to be launched within days.
Csaba Dömötör said in the video that one of the main issues is whether the restrictions introduced due to the epidemic should be lifted gradually, step by step, or in one step once the epidemic is over.
People will also be asked whether those who possess an immunity certificate should be exempted from certain restrictions; and whether they agree that until the end of the epidemic, only foreigners who have already been vaccinated or who have an immunity certificate should be allowed to enter Hungary.
One question refers to the 8 pm curfew, while several others deal with the reopening of restaurants, hotels and sports venues. This will largely depend on the epidemiological situation; however, the government would like to know if the public is in favour of the reopening while having to comply with safety regulations.
According to the State Secretary, if agreement can be reached on these issues, the cooperation to fight the epidemic can be stronger.
All opinions matter, Csaba Dömötör said, encouraging everyone to take part in the consultation.
