Columnist ’Bagehot’ of The Economist spotted striking similarities between US President Richard Nixon and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson /The Economist, October 5th 2019/ without finding the main reason for all of that.

There are many cycles in history, one of them is the 50s cycle for politics, thinking, styles, and many more areas of life. As for this cycle we still live in 1969 and the 1970s are approaching.

Bagehot also shied away from unfolding the striking similarities between Nixon and the present US president, hopefully the outcome will be different.
