526 investors sign up for support to improve competitiveness

For far, 526 investors had applied for competitiveness enhancement support, committing themselves to investments worth HUF 254 billion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade said in Budapest, after handing over support documents to three Hungarian companies.

Péter Szijjártó welcomed the fact that 416 out of the more than 500 companies which are planning investments are Hungarian-owned.

He also added that the government is willing to contribute to all investments, therefore it increased the total allocation from 50 billion to 100 billion forints last week, and it can increase it even further if the needs of investors justify it.

On Monday, three automotive companies received their support documents. The investment of Bálind Kft, in the value of HUF 574 million, was granted HUF 287 million of state support. Dana Hungary Gyártó Kft. is planning an investment of HUF 428 million, with 214 million of state subsidy, while Valeo Siemens eAutomotive Hungary Kft. will invest HUF 597 million, for which it receives over HUF 287 million of state support.
