There are simply two proposals for the new world order in the 21st century. Firstly, a G2 cooperation between the US and China. Secondly, another G2 stand-off between “likeminded” western/eastern countries and China /Anja Manuel, FT, 6 October 2020/. The latter will definitely result in a new cold war, meaning that we will end up with two different groups of global players: winners and losers.
Why don’t we set the record straight? The second option is to repeat the outdated patterns of human history again and again, with tremendous suffering and losses. The first option is really the first in human history, that might lead to a long-term sustainable future for all global players.
The choice is yours.
