More than 50,000 families have already applied for home renovation subsidy
EnglishMore than 50,000 families have already applied for a home renovation subsidy worth a total of about 65 billion forints, Katalin Novák said in a video published on her social media page on Saturday.
The Minister without Portfolio responsible for Family Affairs stressed that the beneficiaries of the subsidy can raise their children in better conditions.
Katalin Novák added that eligibility has been extended and now it is also possible to apply with a public debt of less than 5,000 forints. So, if an application was unsuccessful before because of this, the change makes it worth trying again, she said.
She also emphasized that families can also apply for the home renovation subsidy with a child who is about to be born. In addition to the non-repayable subsidy of up to 3 million forints, a home renovation loan of 6 million forints can also be applied for at a favourable interest rate.
